Douglas Hunter has been an active trial lawyer in Ohio for over 17 years. His practice focuses on helping people injured in accidents or on the job obtain full compensation for their losses. The son of judge and grandson of an attorney, Doug grew up in a family that excelled in the legal field and passed onto him a desire to help people when they need help the most. Now, Doug carries on his family tradition in private practice at the Hoffman Legal Group, LLC.

Doug graduated from University of Toledo (B.S. 1997) and received his legal education at Ohio Northern University College of Law in Ada, Ohio (J.D. 2000). While at Ohio Northern, he was a member of the Law Review and earned the honor of graduating with distinction. After a brief period of representing employers in workers' compensation disputes with their employees, Doug joined the firm of Hoffman Legal Group, LLC in June, 2001, where he has focused on representing individuals.

Doug has tried civil cases in several Ohio courts, has tried arbitrations and has argued before several Ohio appellate courts. He has also represented parties before state and local administrative agencies, including the Industrial Commission of Ohio. He has served as an Arbitrator for the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas and a volunteer Mediator for the Geauga County Court of Common Pleas. Doug is member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Cleveland Metro Bar Association, Ohio Association for Justice, and American Association for Justice. Doug is admitted to practice before all courts of the State of Ohio and the United States District Court, Northern Division of Ohio.

Doug lives with his wife Lynn and their three children in Aurora. His hobbies include running, music, and volunteering as a coach for his children's sports teams.

Geographic Location and Hours

Doug's office is located at 24100 Chagrin Boulevard in Beachwood, Ohio (across the street from the Pavilion shopping plaza).

Doug practices regularly in Cuyahoga, Stark, Wayne, Lorain, Richland, Ashland, Portage, Lake, Summit and Geauga counties as well as before the Industrial Commission of Ohio.

Doug's regular office hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 A.M. 5:30 P.M. He also offers early morning, evening and weekend appointments to accommodate his clients' needs.
